Being a Mama

I am a firm believer of the above saying to the fullest! No matter how old they get, I always see them as my babies. I have a wide age difference between each of my children and my sanity is often questioned as to why I spread them out so far. I have no answer when I am asked this question, but to say that there is not one thing I would change about any of the three. My oldest is 21, middle 13 and baby 29 months. I have had the blessings of enjoying their different stages of life. They love each other as if they are not so spaced out. Nothing warms my heart than to see their love for each other. I am an only child and promised myself, If God granted me the opportunity to have more than one, I would never have just one. Little things mean so much to me watching my children everyday. Today when I came in from work, I walk into Jared's room and they are all three lying on his bed, although they were doing different things, they were all together. My children are by far my greatest accomplishments in this world. I don't think they will fully understand my love for them until they have their own children. I feel like I was made to be a mama, it just suites me well! They totally melt my heart and fill me with a joy like none other. I am one proud mama of my little angels! One little example of a typical day to day needs of the three are just as different as they are themselves. Today, Jared needed a thumb drive, both older children said they would eat chicken for the 500th time this month(thanks, mr. diet) only if I fried them, Sarah Cook just needed some mama time laughing, dancing and singing in the kitchen as I cooked , talking about her favorite band that we will be seeing in a few months(1D) and Hampton decided I needed some company in the bath tub at 6:20 a.m., clothes and all! There is definitely nothing I would change about my life with them, so from this mama to my three babies, I love you far beyond your imaginations!

Hug & Kiss your babies OFTEN!

My Happily Ever After....

                                                      Me and My husband, Michael
                                                                          Sarah Cook

 Jared

Hampton

This is a look at what I like to call my happily ever after!
I am currently reading the book one thousand gifts by Ann Voskamp, although it was a little hard to get into at first, I am finding it easier to read the more I get into it. I have honestly learned to appreciate and thank God for the WONDERFUL gifts in my life, as well as the tiny ones. Above, are pictures of the four greatest blessings I have been given. My husband, Michael, is such a loving and giving man. He completes me and loves me in spite of my flaws and let me tell you, I have a few :) My three children are my other best blessings. Jared is my quiet, reserved first born son, who at the moment is still trying to figure out which way he wants to go in life as far as college, work etc. Next is my beautiful one and only daughter, Sarah Cook. She is my sunshine and like me in many ways but she possesses all the good that I lack on a day to day basis. Sweet, shy, kind, smart and I could go on and on all day, but to sum it up, she is my baby girl! Lastly, We have my little man that is feisty as the day is long, Hampton. He loves trains, is a picky eater and is spoiled to the core with all of us big people around, but he is our caboose, so I'll allow that!

I will leave you with a few of my favorite small blessings and remember to thank the man upstairs for your blessings no matter how small or great they may be:

laughter
a clean swimming pool
butterflies
ice cream
the peaceful feeling knowing your family is tucked in safely at home each night
safe travels
the V8 pops my baby gives me on the forehead
kissing sleeping children
snuggling up to the ones you love
a husband that will stand by your side
sunshine

Have a great day!
